Emergency Vet Care

Beacon VetCare provides 24/7 emergency care for small animal patients in our new, purpose-built emergency vet practice in Summercourt. We have dedicated onsite day and night teams to offer the very best

round-the-clock care.

Founded in 2023 by vets Colin and Lizzy Whiting, Beacon VetCare is an independent family run practice, with a clear emphasis on offering excellent care, from a caring team, with a fair pricing structure.

24/7 Hospitilisation Facilities

Beacon VetCare provides 24/7 emergency care for our existing clients already registered on our database, as well as several other local practices, who we work with on a pre-arranged basis. You can reach us by calling your usual practice's number and following the instructions to be put through to our emergency team.

The Team

Our emergency service is staffed by an experienced team of Vets and Veterinary Nurses, all of whom are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). The team are committed to providing the very best care, day and night.

Whatever your veterinary emergency, Beacon VetCare are here to help.

Yes, we are available 24/7, so you can speak to one of our team free of charge, and we can then advise whether an in-person appointment is necessary.

There is an emergency consultation fee for your pet to be seen, this varies depending on the time of day or night, bank holidays etc. The team will always be happy to inform you of this prior to your visit. If your pet requires further testing, hospitalisation or surgery, estimated costs will be discussed with you prior to treatment taking place. We do not offer pay,ent plans, and require payment at the time of the consultation or upon discharge.

Unfortunately we cannot access clinical records from other practices. However, if it is anticipated your pet may need overnight care with us, your practice may have forwarded the records in advance. If not, we always take a full history to bring us up to speed, and it may be helpful for you to bring any relevant information with you, such as current medications, vaccination records and any other treatments.
